All work and some play

I thought that Summer holidays were supposed to be for resting. I’ve just completed my fourth work experience placement which was two weeks at the Lancashire Evening Post in my university city of Preston. My presence was the catalyst for them to create a new section on their website called “The Student.” Click on it if you dare.

In the two weeks working there I wrote features for a freshers guide to Preston, which was tragically reduced in size from ten pages to four pages because they failed to sell advertising. This despite the “best editorial content we’ve ever had.”

The first of the two videos I made “Freshers’ guide to Preston” has went down well on Facebook. I’ve even been stopped in the street by people who recognise me from Lep.co.uk. Ace! It’s even found its way onto a Spanish site.

Now it’s back to univeristy for shorthand lessons.
